Enchance your Golf Experience

A WALKING GAME

At Rosapenna we believe that the game of golf is best experienced by walking with a caddie, truly as golf was meant to be. When you use a caddie, you are helping preserve one of the oldest traditions of the game. Our new St Patrick's Links is a walking-only golf course where our goal is to enhance your experience through the utilization of a caddie. 

Caddies seek to improve your play and make your round even more enjoyable. When taking a Rosapenna caddie you can expect the following:   

- Insight on course knowledge with exact yardages and green reading

- Assistance with pace of play and locating errant golf shots

- Help with maintenance of the course - bunker raking, divot replacement and club cleaning

- Pin tending etc  

BAG CONSIDERATIONS

During the round of golf you will walk over six miles in total. Your golf bag should be a carry bag with a single or double strap and stand where possible, and should not exceed 12KG. Items in the golf bag should be the essentials for the round you are about to play. We recommend 14 clubs or less, one item of additional clothing, one water bottle and 6 golf balls. All other items should be left in your room at the Resort. 

PAYING YOUR CADDIE

Caddies are independant contractors and all fees are paid by the golfer directly to the caddie. The 2025 caddie fee is €80.00 per bag per round plus gratuity. We allocate as many single caddies as possible and only provide double bag caddies during periods of high demand. If you feel your caddie experience did not meet your expectations, please notify a member of staff in the Pavilion Golf Shop.
